AI Supported Assignment

One AI supported assignment that i have implemented and plan to continue using as part of my ongoing professional development through Amazon AWS AI course for educators. The course introduced me to a variety of AI tools and strategies for teaching and learning, which inspired me to create assignments that help students develop both subject knowledge and AI literacy skills. In one assignment, we used generative AI tool to explain a biology concept, and we asked students to critically evaluate AI generated response. This approach emphasizes critical thinking, information literacy, and responsible AI use more than simply accepting AI generated content at face value. The outcomes have been positive. The assignment generated valuable discussions about academic integrity, bias, and responsible technology use. By participating in this AWS-AI education consortium i am building the knowledge and skills needed to help students and co-workers.
