As a faculty member and a disaster preparedness advocate (since losing my brother 9/11 in NYC at the WTC, but also prior to), my desire has been to heighten community awareness and resilience in the wake of disruptions due to natural or man-made disasters. College campuses across the nation have documented disruptions to their operations as a result of disaster events, and have developed Campus-CERTs in response. In order to support best practice in the development of an organized, inclusive campus response, I specifically curated the source materials from which the proposal information would both be drawn, and tailored to. Cleveland State has instituted a new process for committee formation. Using the current required formation documents, the most recent CERT training manual (2019), and our updated 2025-2030 Strategic Plan, I directed AI to generate a proposal with the necessary components. Here is the result. It saved myriad hours of collating information and formatting the proposal in a Word document for professional senior leadership review. I am sharing it in Draft form in a PDF.
